In-Office Whitening System
At Coello Dentistry, we have chosen Opalescence Boost for our in-office whitening system. It’s a safe, effective and gives instant results. In less than two hours, your teeth will become dramatically whiter which makes it the perfect choice for the busy individual.
Ideal patients should be in good health and free of decay and calculus. Yellow stains from aging, tobacco, dark cola, tea, coffee, and red wine will achieve the greatest success with this procedure. Those patients with gray shading from tetracycline or other medications may experience less dramatic results, but should expect improvement from this procedure. It is recommended that all patients receive an oral prophylaxis prior to their tooth whitening appointment.
As with any other tooth whitening product, Opalescence Boost will not lighten porcelain, composite, or any other restorative material. This system is not recommended for pregnant or lactating women. Patients with a strong gag reflex or anxiety may not be able to endure the entire procedure with retraction and isolation in place.
Take-Home Bleaching Trays
Our office also offers custom bleaching trays. These are to be used at home for about a week, or until you are satisfied with the shade of your teeth. On the first visit, we take impressions to make your bleaching trays, these normally take a couple of days to make. During the following appointment, you will receive your bleaching trays, the whitening gel, and instructions on how to use the product. You can use these trays in the future for touch-up, as long as you don’t have any major work done.
